What This Page Explains

This page sets out what parismuseums.net does and does not do with your information. The short version: there are no accounts, there is no newsletter, and no personal data about you is collected or sold by this site. Where third parties are involved, we name them.

What We Do Not Collect

This site has no user accounts, no registration, no comment sections and no newsletter. Nothing asks for your name, email address or payment details. If you email info@parismuseums.net, your message reaches us and is used only to answer you. We do not build profiles of readers and we do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone, because we do not hold any to begin with.

Analytics And Traffic Measurement

The site measures traffic in aggregate. That means we can see how many people read a page, roughly where they came from and what they clicked next, in numbers rather than names. This is used to work out which museum pages need clearer prices or longer opening hours sections. It does not identify you, and it is not used to follow you around the internet.

Affiliate Links And Third-Party Cookies

Where a museum sells a bookable ticket, this site links to that ticket through an affiliate link, and earns a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. The platforms used are GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Klook, plus GuruWalk for the free and pay-what-you-want walking tours. Free museums are marked free and sell nothing at all.

Here is the part that matters for privacy: when you click one of those links, you leave this site and arrive at the platform's own page. Those platforms set their own cookies at that point, under their own privacy policies, which govern what happens on their side. We do not control those cookies and we cannot read them. If you want to know what GetYourGuide, Tiqets, Klook or GuruWalk collects, their policies are the ones to read, and each is linked or published on their own site.

The commission model works like this: the platform pays this site a share of a ticket you would pay the same price for anyway. Nothing about your purchase is reported back to us beyond the fact that a booking occurred.

Changes And Contact

This page may be revised if the site's practices change, for example if a new ticket platform is added. Nothing here will change the basics: no accounts, no newsletter, no data sold.
