Affiliate Disclosure
The Short Version
Some links on parismuseums.net are affiliate links. If you book a ticket through one of them, the site earns a small commission from the booking platform. The price you pay is exactly the same as it would be if you booked directly, to the cent. Nothing on this page costs you extra, and free museums are never sold anything at all.
Which Links Earn A Commission
Of the 39 museums and museum-like attractions listed here, 23 sell a bookable ticket. Where a museum sells one, this site links to it through an affiliate link and earns a commission when you book. The platforms used are GetYourGuide, Tiqets and Klook, with Tiqets and Klook working through Travelpayouts.
The walking tours sit on a different footing. The GuruWalk layer lists 39 verified free, pay-what-you-want tours. You book a free slot and tip the guide what the walk was worth to you. If a commission applies to a booking made through one of those links, it comes from GuruWalk's side of the arrangement, not from your tip.
Viator is not used on this site. If you ever see a Viator link here, it is a mistake and we would like to hear about it at info@parismuseums.net.
What Is Not An Affiliate Link
Two kinds of links on this site sell nothing. The first is the free museums. Eleven of the City of Paris museums, the Paris Musées permanent collections, are free to everyone all year with no ticket, and this site marks them free and links to nothing you can buy. A museum that charges no entry fee has nothing to sell you, so it has nothing to sell us either.
The second kind is the link to a museum's own official page. Prices on this site are each museum's own door price, checked against the museum's own ticket page, and those checks point to the official source. Those links earn nothing. They exist so you can verify the figure yourself.
The Editorial Firewall
Money never decides what a museum is called, where it sits in a list, or whether it gets a recommendation. A museum is never ranked or recommended because it pays, and a museum is never buried because it does not. The Louvre charges €22 for EEA visitors and €32 for everyone else, and that is stated plainly whether or not a ticket link appears beside it. The Catacombes cost €31, the Maison de Victor Hugo is ticketed until 22 November 2026 because a temporary exhibition suspends its free entry, and the Centre Pompidou is shut until 2030. None of these facts are shaped by who pays.
The site's authority claim is research, stated plainly. Prices are checked against each museum's own ticket page, free status is re-verified, and hours and closed days are taken as the museums themselves publish them. The figures are checked against the museums' own pages, and where the museums change them, the site follows.
If you would rather not use an affiliate link at all, every bookable museum also sells its ticket on its own website. Booking there costs you the same and earns this site nothing. The choice is yours, and it changes nothing about what you pay.
